Jamaica

Pat and Kara Bloemendaal

Living as a Deaf person in a hearing world can be isolating, lonely, and difficult. This is life for much of Jamaica’s large Deaf population, one of the most marginalized people groups on the island. The Deaf are also one of the largest unreached people groups in the world.

Pat and Kara do counseling and pastoral work with the Caribbean Christian Centre for the Deaf (CCCD). CCCD provides the Deaf with accessible education, authentic community, and knowledge of the gospel through the operation of one Deaf village and three residential schools for children who are Deaf.

Chris Briggs

The Caribbean Christian Centre for the Deaf (CCCD) provides the Deaf community in Jamaica with a language, education, mentoring, and an opportunity to encounter the gospel.
