A Prayer for the Enjoyment of Creation

This worship experience is designed to be held outside. It is a meditative walk based on Psalm 23. Worshipers may experience the walk in groups or by themselves.

Use fans, recordings of multiple languages, and red banners to evoke the feeling of the first Pentecost.

Lent is a season of preparation for Christ’s death and resurrection. This year, journey through Lent with a series of devotions written by RCA missionaries.

“Yet, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.”

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.”

This service will primarily be led by children. They will reenact the nativity story while a narrator reads Luke 2 from The Message. Practice with the children beforehand so they know where they are supposed to be and when.

This station-based worship experience will enable worshipers to reflect deeply on the circumstances of Jesus’ birth.

This event is a chance for the entire community to come together to kick off the Advent season in a fun and memorable way. It is also a time for participants to think about how they can bless those around them.
