Since its founding in 1984, Bayshore Christian Ministries (BCM) has sought to help youth grow spiritually, acquire life skills, and develop as leaders. BCM practices holistic, relational, and collaborative ministry to youth and their families. Serving over 400 youth every year, BCM impacts the communities of East Palo Alto and Belle Haven by investing in the next generation of community members and leaders.
Volunteer groups are needed to lead a week-long vacation Bible school program for children every summer (contact the Volunteer Engagement team for dates). This includes leading lessons, making and serving lunch, assisting with setup, playing games with kids, and facilitating prayer time. There may be an opportunity to work on the facilities at times when students are not present, including yard work, washing cars, and cleaning windows.
Groups may be able to sleep in classrooms at the ministry center. A kitchen is on site so that groups can prepare their own meals, and grocery stores are located nearby.
