Beth-El Farmworker Ministry, Inc.

Wimauma, Florida

Beth-El Farmworker Ministry brings the love and hope of Jesus Christ to farm workers and their families in Wimauma, a community just south of Tampa. Beth-El helps people with their day-to-day needs and assists them in becoming self-sufficient.

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.—John 15:5, NIV

Volunteers serve in teams, engaging with the community surrounding Beth-El. They meet workers in the field, build relationships with area families, and help repair community members’ homes.

  • People of all ages are welcome.
  • Volunteers must be able to do manual labor or host a vacation Bible school.
  • Specific tasks are assigned once group size, schedule, and ministry and community needs are determined. (May include packing food for the food pantry, assembling student backpacks, leading children and youth programs, sorting thrift store donations, interior or exterior painting, yard maintenance, and minor repairs to homes/trailers.)

Groups sleep in the air-conditioned sanctuary and are encouraged to bring cots or air mattresses. There is a new shower facility that has a men’s and women’s side, (four stalls total), and includes hot water.

Food: The kitchen staff can provide meals for a fee of $15 per person, per day, or groups may bring their own food.
