La Casa del Maestro

La Casa del Maestro works to equip and empower Quechua youth in southern Peru. These young people learn how to navigate the modern world, provide for themselves, and contribute to society in order to bring sustainable, generational change. Many students attend La Casa del Maestro to continue their secondary education or complete pre-university or university courses.

The main focus for volunteers is on discipleship, mentoring, and relationship building. If you specialize in a particular trade or area of study and can teach it, Casa Del Maestro would like to imagine with you what that could look like.


Groups will stay at a nearby Christian conference center in a dormitory setting. The center has a kitchen where food will be prepared and served to groups. If the Christian conference center is booked, there are also nearby hotels.

Free day suggestions: 

Volunteers will enjoy tours at Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley, and other nearby Inca ruins. Groups are encouraged to consider planning for two free days in the schedule, given the amount of travel to different sites.
