DeWitt Reformed Church

Manhattan, New York

Surrounded by the cultural milieu of Soho Village, Chinatown, and Little Italy, DeWitt Reformed Church is a community committed to caring for its people. Known as “the little church with a big heart,” DeWitt uses its Head Start and Pre-K programs, food pantry ministry, and Sunday morning services for the purposes of the Kingdom, desiring to see the community empowered and changed.

A week at DeWitt is full of service, joy, and learning, as you and your team assist with the different ministry programs, help with service projects around the church, study the word, and get to know the people of this hospitable congregation. So come for the week and walk through the city, experience a Broadway show, and see all the wonderful ways the Lord is present in this vivacious community!

History and Mission:  Dedicated in 1881, DeWitt Reformed Church sponsors the largest Head Start Program on the Lower East Side, serving more than 300 children and families. It has a vibrant Senior Ministry complete with services to the housebound, a youth ministry program, as well as a children’s ministry program. DeWitt continues its legacy of being a community church on a mission for Jesus Christ, becoming empowered by the Holy Spirit. The mission of DeWitt Reformed Church is to minister to the total life of men, women and children by preaching, teaching and living the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and by all Christian good works.
