Al Raja School is a K-12 school in Bahrain with about 660 students, almost all of whom are Muslim Bahraini. Offering dual Arabic and English instruction, the school aims to provide the youth of Bahrain with an education that will help them grow into strong and sensitive members of their families, their communities, and the world in which they live. Al Raja School is one of the longest standing Christian institutions of the Arabian Gulf. It has served the Kingdom of Bahrain for over 100 years by providing excellence in education, character development, and sincere engagement with families, giving honor to God in all things.
One to four teachers are needed for main subject areas, including science, math, physical education, and English.
Furnished two-bedroom apartments within walking distance of the school are provided. Each apartment also includes a kitchen, a bathroom, and a living room. Volunteers may share an apartment with another volunteer of the same gender. Grocery stores are within walking distance of the apartments.
Housing, monthly stipend, and visa costs are covered. Some fundraising may be necessary to cover other expenses.

Volunteers must be certified teachers qualified in their subject areas. This is a great opportunity for new teachers or teachers near retirement who are interested in trying something different.
