Martha and Jaime Amaro became Christians when they heard the gospel from a missionary. Now doing mission work themselves, the Amaros help the Presbyterian Church in Mexico by providing training workshops for the Children and Worship program. They have a vision to see the Children and Worship program in use throughout Mexico within three years. The Amaros also do translating work; they have been translating "Growing in the Faith" discipleship materials into Spanish, which are used to train church leaders. Volunteer groups are invited to come alongside the Amaros in the ministry work they are doing with local churches.
Volunteer groups will build relationships with Mexican youth, participate in outreach evangelism, lead and join in singing groups, and assist with the maintenance of churches and camps. Volunteers are welcome year-round, but there is an opportunity to assist in running a Spanish-speaking, week-long program with local churches during the months of July and August.
Dorm style lodging is provided.
The fee is dependent on the type of project a group is interested in doing. For lodging and meals, groups can expect to pay $45USD per day per person. If your group needs a van rental for more than ten people, that would be an additional $140USD per day.
Xoxocotlán International Airport
Groups are encouraged to check out local archeological site tours and visit the local, open markets.
